Khmelnytskyi Oblast / Khmelnytskyi Oblast Joins the Presentation of the New Phase of the “U-LEAD with Europe” Program
A meeting was held in the regional capital between representatives of the “U-LEAD with Europe” Program and the leadership of the regional military administration and community leaders.
During the meeting, participants were introduced to three main areas of focus: supporting the implementation of reforms and European integration processes, developing the capacity of local self-government for regional recovery, and modernizing municipalities. Community representatives received detailed information about opportunities for cooperation within these areas.
Vladimir Yuryev, Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration, emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation with the program and noted that even amid the war, communities remain active and are adapting to new challenges.
The “U-LEAD with Europe” program is an initiative aimed at supporting local self-government reforms and decentralization in Ukraine. It is implemented with the support of the European Union and its member states, including Germany, Denmark, Poland, and Slovenia. The program’s main goal is to strengthen the capacity of local self-government bodies through training, expert guidance, and the implementation of best European practices. U-LEAD operates through regional offices in all regions, enabling communities to receive prompt support, participate in thematic training sessions, access grant opportunities, and implement joint projects aimed at modernizing municipal services and developing local infrastructure.
In Ukraine, the development of local self-government through the “U-LEAD with Europe” Program has been underway since 2016, helping communities become stronger and more effective. This cooperation will continue to ensure the stable development of regions even under challenging conditions.
