As part of the Natolin4Capacity Building project, two new training groups have been formed to cover the fundamentals of the EU accession process

28 September 2026

As part of the Natolin4Capacity Building Phase II (N4CB-II) project, funded by the European Union, two new groups of Ukrainian civil servants have been selected to take part in the upcoming sessions of the Targeted Training Programme on developing knowledge and analytical skills in the field of European integration.

Sixteen participants have been selected to take part in the 10th and 11th sessions of the programme at the College of Europe in Natolin. Each session will bring together eight representatives from Ukrainian central government bodies for a six-week training course at the College of Europe in Natolin. The programme combines academic classes, expert mentoring, study visits and analytical work, helping participants to develop the knowledge and skills required for their work in the context of Ukraine’s EU accession process. Both sessions will focus on Negotiation Cluster 1: ‘Fundamentals of the EU Accession Process’.

The 10th session will run from 14 September to 23 October 2026, and the 11th session will take place from 2 November to 11 December 2026.

The 10th session will be attended by representatives of:

  • the State Customs Service of Ukraine;
  • the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption;
  • the Constitutional Court of Ukraine;
  • the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine;
  • the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;
  • the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine;
  • the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The 11th session will be attended by representatives of:

  • the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights;
  • the Accounting Chamber;
  • the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;
  • the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience;
  • the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine;
  • the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine;
  • the Supreme Court.

New sessions will begin following the conclusion of the programme’s 9th session on 4 September 2026. At the end of the course, participants shared advice with colleagues who are preparing to join the next sessions.

“I recommend taking part in the course at the College of Europe in Natolin, as here you can gain a thorough understanding of EU legislation. My advice is to immerse yourself fully in the course right from the start, ask questions and learn new things,” — Mykhailo Bondarenko, State Audit Service of Ukraine.

“I would advise future participants to make the most of every day, every moment. It is very important to be present in the moment, as time passes extremely quickly. Whilst you’re here, you should make the most of this opportunity, because it will really make a big difference later on,” — Olena Chernyavska, State Audit Service of Ukraine.
